26 February 2025 — The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) 2024 Gala Night was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and the enduring success of home-grown businesses. Held at One World Hotel, the event marked 15 years of SOBA, recognising 99 outstanding Malaysian companies that continue to redefine their industries.
As a past SOBA winner, Mega Fortris was honoured to be part of this occasion. Attending the event were Group CEO Datuk Adrian Ng, Compliance Director Mag Ng, and few others of the team.

Reflecting on the significance of SOBA’s 15th anniversary, Datuk Adrian Ng shared insights into Mega Fortris’ journey since its win.

Our IPO
Our path to IPO has been an exciting journey of transformation. Following our SOBA wins, we intensified our focus on several strategic initiatives with the aim to push traditional boundaries and consistently innovate and improve our operational efficiency and commercial capabilities. We focused on Industry 4.0 automation of production and administration processes, digitized our groupwide data analytics, and championed sustainability by introducing biodegradable additives to all our products, weaving these priorities into our operational DNA. Equally important was our investment in people development, ensuring our teams were equipped to drive innovation.
Since our SOBA win in 2016, our biggest challenge has been managing rapid global expansion while maintaining high standards. To scale effectively, we invested in automation and digital infrastructure, boosting production without compromising quality. We also streamlined our supply chain and strengthened quality control to meet rising demand efficiently.
Innovation in a mature market is another challenge. We tackled this by reinforcing R&D and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Our teams develop solutions that anticipate future security needs, ensuring we stay ahead while setting new industry benchmarks.
This relentless drive for growth, efficiency, and innovation culminated in our successful listing on 11 November 2024. The IPO was a significant milestone, marking the next phase of our journey as we continue to expand our global presence and shape the future of security solutions.
